In Taman Negara, visitors can experience a world of recreational and eye-opening explorations. Activities that we offer from Taman Negara’s natural surroundings are:-
Botanic and Nature Tour
Identify in Malay (Local), English and Latin, the amazing plant species in the jungle.
Be astounded by the uses of medicinal plants from the rainforest.
Mountain Climbing
Mount Tahan - It is interesting while challenging to climb Mt. Tahan which has the highest peak (2,187m) in Peninsula Malaysia. Situated around 55 km from Kuala Tahan and takes about 4 days to reach.
Teresek Hill - It’s height is about 334m and requires 45 mins of travel. Located 1.7km from Kuala Tahan. At the top, you can see the lovely view of the Tembeling river and Mount
Tahan.
Exploring the Cave
Gua Daun Menari (Cave of the Dancing Leaves) - Home to thousands of bats. It’s also a nice spot for camping.
Gua Telinga (Ear Cave) - A cave with beautiful limestone formations. Visitors can spot at least 6 different species of fauna in this cave.
Swimming Spots
Lata Berkoh Cascade - An attraction spot for swimming and picnics. Accessible by both boat (45 minutes depending on water level) and foot.
Lubok Simpon - A 15 minutes walk from Kuala Tahan. Also an attractive spot for swimming and bird watching.
Canopy Walkway (One of the longest in the world)
Your travel here would not be complete without traversing on the hanging bridge with the length of 450m, with the highest elevation at 50m! Test your courage by walking from one tree to the other on the hanging bridge. Only 45 minutes walk from the Park Headquarters.
Animal Observation Hide
There are 5 High Hides for animal observation purposes. Most of them are built facing a Salt Lick (a natural spring), while some are facing a wide grass field. Reservation must be done with the Department of Wildlife and National Park as the number of beds in every hide is limited.
Kumbang Hide - The best hide considering the distance from the Park Headquarters. Animals sighted may include tigers, black panthesr, tapirs and an elephants.
Cegar Anjing Hide - One and a half hours walk from Kuala Tahan.
Yong Hide - 10 minutes boat ride and then 15 minutes walk to reach there.
River Trips
Don't miss them as they are the highlights of Taman Negara.
Rapids Shooting - 7 Rapids (Tembeling River)
Experience shooting through 7 thrilling rapids. Get wet with splashes of heart-pounding excitement, navigating through the torrential rapids with skilled boatmen. Life jackets are provided on this trip. Discover the trees and climbers that grows along its bank - Tualang, Neram and Liana (to name a few)
Orang Asli (Native Aborigines) Village Tours
Our unique tour lets you experience the life of the Orang Asli.
Experience the use of the Blowpipe (silent weapon of hunting) and the secret making of the Poison Dart.

Night Jungle Walk

Kelah Fish Santuary
Tahan River - Fishing is not allowed in Tahan River due to parts of the river
gazetted as fish sanctuaries. Other rivers like the Keniam River do allow you to fish. Fishing is the main activity for visitors in Taman Negara. A fishing license is needed and to be paid at the office of the Department of Wildlife and National Park.
AGRI TOURs (Rubber and Oil Plantation)
Learn of it’s history, the life and the products of the rubber and oil plantation.
ECO TOURs (Aquaculture and Farm)
A satisfying experience of catching and eating from a nature farm (SwimaGro) in Kampung
Baru.
